IoT law note

2018. 10. 3. 00:34

California passed a law regulating Internet of Things (IoT) security for the first time in the U.S.

California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill on Sept. 28 (local time) that Internet-based devices should have security functions such as preventing hacking.

All devices that are directly or indirectly connected to the Internet need to have adequate levels of security to protect devices and information against threats such as unauthorized access, destruction, use, and modification.

With the release of robot-related products, there are many security considerations.

However, there is something to consider in the Bill, how much of the proper level of security should be done. In addition, related insurance will be available in the future, which could lead to restrictions on iot released by startups.

It is also thought that security controls for IoT will be activated.
